About Me

Dr Liliya Korallo is a CBT/DBT therapist based in London. Dr Liliya Korallo has a Doctorate in Psychology from Middlesex University and an MSc in Culture and Mental Health from University College London.

She is trilingual, speaking English, Russian and Ukrainian. She is the only Russian, Ukrainian psychologist in central London. She is also the founder of City Psychological Services (CPS).

She also sees clients privately in the City. Dr Korallo has a strong interest in research, having conducted published high impact research into the uses of Virtual Reality (VR), including the use of virtual environments in treating phobic conditions  (such as arachnophobia), with colleagues in Halle University, Germany.

She also ran Cognitive Behavioural Therapy groups and assisted a DBT team working with children. Dr Korallo also worked with individual patients with a range of presentations, including depression, anxiety, phobias and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).

She has worked in the NHS, with the IMPART team, specialising in helping clients diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) to teach them skills to regulate their emotions more effectively, improve their interpersonal effectiveness and build "a life worth living". Dr Korallo is highly trained in the DBT approach. She has been taught by internationally known DBT specialists, who have in turn been trained by Professor Marsha M. Linehan, the original Founder of DBT. The DBT assessment takes 2-3 hours to complete.

Dr Korallo has produced over 50 psychological reports of a high standard, requested by clients or their Solicitors. She can work with clients using, inter alia, English, Russian, Ukrainian, and other Eastern European languages, producing reports in English that have proved universally acceptable in legal circles in cases relating to immigration and minor and major road traffic accidents.

She has assisted clients with recovery from brain injury using VR and CBT and has used VR to improve psychotic patients’ social skills.
