There is a long queue for NHS treatment for clients with Borderline Personality Disorder (BDP). We are able to offer the same treatment as NHS offers but you will be seen within 7 working days of contacting us (yourself, or referred by your GP or Psychiatrist). We will arrange an assessment to understand better your difficulties and therapy needs. We practise DBT (Dialectical Behavioural Therapy) which is recognised throughout the world as being most effective. We can offer you three options:
How much does Dialectical Behaviour Therapy cost?
(1) For individual therapy only £150.00 per session (50 minutes, all materials provided)
(2) For group skill training only £90 per session (90 minutes, all materials provided)
(3) To join a weekly 90 minute DBT therapy group on-line for 20 weeks, with daily telephone coaching plus weekly individual therapy, with all materials provided. This package costs £1600
How Dialectical Behavioural Therapy works?
The group therapy structure consists of 5 modules each lasting 4 weeks: Interpersonal Effectiveness, Emotional Regulation, Distress Tolerance and Mindfulness and "Middle Path".
For individual therapy, the therapist and client identify target behaviours that need to be increased or decreased. We follow a structured format.
Telephone coaching is available between 9.00 am and 9.00 pm. Its function is to assist clients to avoid risky behaviours by providing appropriate skills. This is not a crisis service, but to improve effectiveness in using skills. (In the event of a crisis, a client should contact their GP or ambulance service, their local crisis team or Samaritans).
See our Facebook group page for more information on the structure of our DBT online group and what we offer.
